In a groundbreaking event in China, Huawei unveiled its Nova 12 series, featuring four cutting-edge smartphones: Nova 12, Nova 12 Lite, Nova 12 Pro, and Nova 12 Ultra. Explore the highlights of the Pro and Ultra models in this exclusive release.
Nova 12 Ultra: Elevating Smartphone Excellence
Huawei’s Nova 12 Ultra debuts a 6.76″ LTPO OLED display with a dynamic refresh rate from 1 to 120Hz and a crisp resolution of 2,776 x 1,224 pixels. Flaunting support for 1 billion colors and a wide DCI-P3 color gamut, the display is safeguarded by Kunlun Glass. The centrally placed pill-shaped notch hosts a dual-camera setup, featuring a remarkable 60MP ultrawide camera and an 8MP portrait camera with 2x optical zoom.
Encased in faux leather with a 3D embossed Huawei and Nova logo, the back panel exudes sophistication. The oval-shaped camera setup houses a 50MP main camera with variable aperture (F/1.4 to 4.0) and an 8MP ultrawide camera. The Nova 12 Ultra operates on Harmony OS 4, offering up to 1 TB storage and is speculated to run on the Kirin 9000S processor.
This device boasts innovative satellite communication via a two-way Beidou satellite messaging system. With a 4,600 mAh battery supporting 100W fast charging through a USB-C port, the Nova 12 Ultra ensures seamless performance.
Key features include an in-display fingerprint sensor, dual-band GPS, NFC for contactless interactions, and stereo speakers for an immersive audio experience. The Huawei Nova 12 Ultra starts at an attractive price of $660 in China.
Nova 12 Pro: A Stylish Variant with Distinctive Features
The Huawei Nova 12 Pro mirrors the Nova 12 Ultra’s excellence but stands out with an additional color option and a slightly heavier build at 201g. Unlike the Ultra, the Pro version skips the faux leather back. It offers storage options of 256GB and 512GB, with prices starting at $560 and $615, respectively.
Both Nova 12 Ultra and Nova 12 Pro feature variable aperture and satellite connectivity. Pre-orders for both models are currently open on VMall, with the Nova 12 Pro hitting the market on January 5, 2024, and the Nova 12 Ultra available for purchase from January 12, 2024. Don’t miss your chance to experience the future of smartphones with Huawei’s Nova 12 series.
